Hi there, I posted this message some months ago and I would like to
know if any of you (besides those who already replied) have tried the
IBM 1130 simulator under SIMH and particularly the APL\1130
interpreter on disk and, more importantly, if any of you tried to
assemble it from the 1130 assembly decks.

Message of July 13th, 2009:

Is there anyone out here who have worked with APL\1130 and knows how
the APL\1130 binary deck was loaded and, more importantly, if anyone
of you remembers assembling the APL\1130 source deck (or paper tape)?

An assembly source deck (series of decks) was unearthed sometime ago
and it posted on the website http://ibm1130.org/sw which has excellent
information about the 1130 computer and its emulations under SIMH.

(note: the ASCII text file contains a few "bugs" - at least under OS X
- on the card decks' names / sequence numbers, which most likely
appeared during the recent card reading and conversion from card code
format to an ASCII file.)

Any information / documentation on how the assembly deck was actually
assembled and executed to generate the binary decks is vital to being
able to generate a new self-loading deck under the emulated platform.
Please contact me if you have any extra details or remember of how it
was done.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Pedro
