All,
We do not see job ads too often here.
However they tend to be tolerated, given their low frequency.
This is such a posting.
We – that is the company that employs me – need more people.
We are developing a Warehouse Management System (WMS ) and a Warehouse
Control System (WCS) in-house that we offer to our customers.
The WCS system is written entirely in Ada, except for the c# client.
It’s main task is to organize the flow of pallets/totes/boxes in an
automated warehouse, and communicate with hardware like Stacker
cranes/Conveyor system/Shuttle systems/anything that moves.
The ‘organize the flow’-part is more administrative, while the
‘communicatie-with-hardware’ (PLCs and alike) is much about protocols.
Usually implementing the hardware vendors protocol, but not always.
We like to reuse solutions, however reality makes us often tailor the
delivery for a particular site.
There are quite some configuration options, but sometimes new code has
to be written.
This is not an embedded solution, it weighs in on around 1,2 million
lines of code.
We run on Windows and Linux, and are heavy users of a database. Oracle
or MS SQL-Server are the currently supported ones.
The job is about making a customers site happen.

However, MS Teams is a good friend if you happen to live somewhere else.
