Description: SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will help develop and maintain the suite of applications as used by ASRM, LLC to perform Third Party Administrative (TPA) services for their clients. Candidate will participate in customer meetings, application design, spec determination, coding, testing, and implementation. Interface with internal and external customers, third party vendors and management is required.
The successful candidate must be able to function in a small company environment where the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced organization with tight timeframes is essential to both individual and company success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Works with other database programmers, internal staff and customers to coordinate revisions to claims, OCR and interface file applications
•Develop and adhere to system life cycle, development and documentation standards
•Provide problem resolution support for application related errors
•Design and develop “wrap-around” applications which will enhance processes and workflow of the TPA organization
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•Experience programming stored procedures in relational database systems, such as MS SQL Server and MS Access is required
•Experience with Visual Basic, Microsoft .net and SQL Query language is required.
•Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers, management and co-workers is required
•Ability to easily learn new technical skills
•Experience working in a fast paced, customer oriented environment is required
•Experience with Health Claims adjudication and premium payment system is desired
•Work with Claims’ System and other ASRM vendors to report bugs, resolve issues and test new releases.
•Ability to work in a fast paced, rapid growth environment.
•Strong Team and Customer orientation.
•Detail oriented with strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
•Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES PREFERRED:
•Knowledge of Health Claims Processing.
•Knowledge of HIPAA ANSI 837 transaction.
•Knowledge of Health Claims Systems, EDI and OCR Scanning.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience preferred.
