Scope: A Web Services Web Server Systems Administrator is needed
immediately due to a subcon who just quit. The candidate
must reside in Austin as the individual would be part of an
Operations team which is responsible for administration over
locally based systems. The candidate will be part of an
operations team and serve as Web Services Technician --
responsible for administration configuration troubleshooting
various instances of Client HTTP Server IHS web servers throughout
the infrastructure. Responsible for administration
configuration troubleshooting various instances of
WebSphere Web Traffic Express WTE proxy servers throughout
infrastructure. Familiarity with WebSphere Application
Server WebSphere Portal Server is a plus. Strong customer
support skills including communication and teaming AIX
Windows Systems Administration. Maintaining accounts IDs,
install update packages, efixes and apars, install base
operating system, backup servers using savevg and mksysb.
Maintain server integrity with respect to volume groups,
file systems and paging space as implemented on hard disks
and disk arrays. Strong scripting skills to include Perl and
Shell Level 1 2 Pager Team. Responsible for responding to
pager cell phone in support of our production infrastructure
24x7. Responsible for administration of monitoring tools
used in support of our production and non-production
infrastructures.
