Skills: Qualifications
• MSEE, or BSEE plus 5 years RF test/product experience.
• Extensive test software development background.
• Board design or circuit analysis experience with
mixed-signal components.
• Strong written / verbal communication & presentation
skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and debug skills.
• Strong engineering fundamentals.
• Experience in manufacturing test of integrated circuits is
a bonus.
• Working knowledge of:
o Microsoft Office tools or equivalent
o Object oriented design and other s/w development
methodologies
o Database development
o Visual Basic and C (or C#) programming
o Laboratory test equipment
Scope: Description
As a member of the Applications team, the position focuses
on functional characterization and validation of product
designed in the Wireless organization. The applications
engineer will be responsible for the creation of design
verification plans, development of test systems, reporting
of test data (data analysis), and maintenance of a data
collection system. Duties will also include providing
engineering support to design, test, quality, and other
manufacturing groups.
Responsibilities
• Create verification test plans, develop test systems (H/W
& S/W), develop and maintain database, and generate reports.
• Provide verification test support to the IC design teams.
• Serve as technical interface to Manufacturing Test.
• Lead investigations into functional performance.
• Assist Quality in development of qualification /
reliability test plans.
• Provide assistance to team members responsible for direct
customer support.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team
members.
• Lead developments and projects within the applications
product team.
