Skills: Minimum Requirements:
5-7 years of overall exp.
Must posses a BA in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Requireed license from the State of Texas to practice
engineering.
Experience in electric utility relay protection, SCADA,
fault recording and metering is desireable.
Ability to effectively use spreadsheets, databases and other
office applications is desireable.
Must possess strong presentation, writing, organizing and
people skills.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities
while working alone or in a team.
Must possess a valid TX Drivers License and a good driving
record.
Scope: Essential Functions:
Plan and design protective relaying, SCADA, and metering
schemes for LCRA electric power substations and other
facilities. Work in coordination with maintenance,
operations and other engineering departments, as well as
other utilities. Prepare specifications for materials and
review vendor drawings. Interpret customer requirements and
prepare detailed project descriptions. The Engineer position
may act as project leader or coordinate the work of other
fully competent engineers or other technical personnel.
