COMMENTS: This is a unique opportunity to play a key role on a
billing system project for the I.S. group at a utility
company. This person will be dealing with the
application software which handles the core of their
business, and it is linked dynamically to 6-7
different databases, so this is a demanding job. The
consultant will maintain their current utility billing
system in Access97, while a new one is developed in
Visual Basic. S/he will work with one other person,
fixing bugs for users concerning queries, form
creation and report generation. The consultant must be
willing and able to communicate with end users.
Background Requirements:
Must have 2+ years Access (including some Access97)
development experience. Must have some VBA (Visual
Basic for Applications) knowledge / experience. Must
have some knowledge of database structure, such as
relationships between tables, various types of indexes
and how to write multiple nested queries.
