Description: The individual will be tasked with the design and implementation of sophisticated tactical FPS AI for one or more PC/Xbox titles.
Responsibilities include:
Gathering AI and tools requirements from the design and art teams.
Consulting with the Lead Programmer and Producer on implementation and scheduling issues.
Developing specifications for AI-related gameplay, designer tools, and programmer APIs.
Implementing the specification, including overseeing and mentoring of other programmers on AI-related tasks.
Continuous support of the design and QA teams on AI-related gameplay issues.
Ultimate responsibility for achievement of AI-related milestones and gameplay.
Required experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
4 years game industry experience
2 years industry AI experience
Demonstrable proficiency in C++
One or more shipping titles
Required skills:
Proven ability to anticipate and resolve project roadblocks
Strong analytical and computational skills in linear algebra, 3D spatial reasoning and data structures
Considerable knowledge of AI techniques and literature related to path-finding, motivationally- and environmentally-driven behavior
Critical understanding of AI-related issues
