I wouldn't mind ads so much but

- ads are so manipulative
- two ads suck
- unskippable ads forcing you to watch two
- 15s unskippable ads
- they hid the yellow marks that showed how many ads there are
- they add ads to unmonitized videos, stealing 100% of the profits and
screwing over small creators more
- trying to sneak in ad videos in recommendations to disguise them
- they intentionally made it way harder to select "stop seeing this ad"
- skipping past a ad trigger makes it activate, making skimming videos
infuriating
- sometimes, when rewinding past an ad spot you just activated, it will
hit you with more ads which is especially annoying for times where
you're trying to get back into the flow of a video
- the popup box ads are very hard to close sometimes
- the download button becomes a "stop ads" button on mobile which is
just an ad for YouTube red, basically taunting you
- there is a PERMANENT ad banner (at least on mobile) that is always
above the video title and is a one click to the company website
- on iPhone, there's the extra app store popup for mobile games, which
is very easy to accidentally hit and oops you're in the app store
- some of them are LOUD and throw you off

Do they let me use my YouTube accounts? If so, then is it safe?

I didn't know about that feature at all: can you explain where it is?

It's a mobile feature, there's an i button next to the ad timer that
used to just pop up a thing that let you select if an ad was irrelevant,
inappropriate, or repetitive. It also instantly skipped the ad. Now, it
pops up an external "ad center" that takes upwards of 10 seconds to
actually stop seeing the ad, making it not really worth it.

Ah. I'm watching on PC, so that explains why I didn't know about it.
