I just spent a sleepless night to hack the HTMLwidget and now
it can support Chinese font in HZ encoding. It is still a bit buggy
(about 0.1% error rate) but it runs alright. It is ideal for reading
alt.chinese.text. Anyone insterested in getting the patch? The catch
is, you need to compile it yourself. I will contact the NCSA people to
see if they want to put it in the official distribution, so that it
will be available to the complier-deprived people.
BTW, just before I go on re-inventing the wheel, has anyone
else don the same thing? Please let me know. If you are interested in
my patch, please send a mail to me and let me know. I will send you
the patch once I finish it. i.e. in a few days.
