When I attempt to connect to an html with from the Starting
Points menu in Mosaic, it says "Error Num -1" Could not
connect. I do not know what I could be doing wrong here..
Can anybody offer any advise?
Thanks.

That happened to me. PC-NFS isn't set up to do DNS, so you are likely only
looking for the host in your (PC) local hosts table. Add the particular
host that the URL calls for into your host table and try again. Worked
for me...except that, of course, this sort of idiocy is not useful for
surfing much more than your local pond.

Trying to use Mosaic to access anything gives me an error -1 trying to
access Http's, -2 access Gophers, and -3 accessing FTPs.
Here's a clip from the Winsock Screen - I turned all possible tracing on
to see what was happening, and can't make heads nor tails out of it.. Can
anyone please assist?

I can make the "Unable to locate WINPKT" error message go away by setting
it to the SLIP connection in SETUP, but it still gives me the "unable to
load TCP" error.
Everything is in the PATH or the Windows directory itself, so I'm
completely baffeled. :)
Tired of fighting with it. :/
Happy Holidays!

You shouldn't use the Trumpet Winsock if you already have Novell's networking
running. You should contact Novell for their WinSock (which may still be in
beta) and use that. Trumpet is for going straight to the hardware (well,
straight to the packet driver/SLIP connection, anyway.)

If I understand correctly, you are trying to run Trumpet WinSock on top
of LWP. That certainly won't work. You can't load two TCPIP stacks at the
same time.
What you need is either LWP + LWP Winsock or Trumpet Winsock. You can't
have both (not easily at least). Mosaic will run on either configuration.
LWP Winsock is available from sjf-lwp.sjf.novell.com as are some upgraded
LWP programs you need to support it.
Hope this Helps

Thankee, Russell, that WAS the answer! I had a version of WinSock.Dll and
WlibSock.Dll, but apparently they were too old to be of any use, and
that's what was causing the problems. :) (Tried the Novell one after the
Trumpet one, which didn't work either. :D) The one from the FTP site
works great tho, so thankee very much, and happy hollardays to you, too! :)
