How do I go about using the Apache ReWrite Mod to block inline images. This
site:

http://www.ch.engelschall.com/pw/apache/rewriteguide/#ToC38

gives information on it but doesn't say where these lines go and when I try
to put them in the .htaccess file I get a 500 server error message. Any
help on this would be appreciated. Our SysAdmin says that the mod has been
compiled so what is the next step?

You (or your sysadmin) needs to look in the error log for the server
and probably modify the Allowoverride settings for the relevant
directory in httpd.conf in order to allow mod_rewrite commands to work
in the .htaccess file. Also, be sure to check the mod_rewrite
documentation about working in .htaccess files.
