Hi All,

Can anyone help me with the following issue? :)

Whenever a document is opened in iManage, the file is copied to a
temporary directory on the users ‘C’ drive. All files are copied to a
portable directory (NrPortbl). Some files, dependent on security
classification and local iManage configuration, may also be copied to
an echo directory (NRTEcho).

Files are only held in the portable directory whilst they are open and
are removed from this directory automatically when the file is closed.
In certain specific but rare circumstances, an iManage failure could
result in files remaining in the portable directory and not being
cleared down.

Files are only copied to the echo directory if the relevant permissions
allow. Files are held in the echo directory for a period of 5 days and
are automatically then removed by a script executed during the logon
process.

Because of this it is possible to map a drive to a networked
workstations 'C' drive and view potentially sensitive data.

Is there anyway within iManage to restrict this kind of access to say
that specific user? I know it's possible to make restrictions using
network security but I wanted to know if this could be achieved in
iManage before going down that route.

Thank you in advance for any info given

Regards
