Think about security and how that would be exploited to do XSS attacks.

I am using Debian iceape, which is a Mozilla seamonkey based derivative.
When I attempt to edit wiki pages at a couple of internet sites (such as
wikibooks or rosettacode), after I have made the edit, I click the
"Save page" button on the website. This causes the browser to provide a
dialogue as follows:

Opening index.php

You have chosen to open index.php

which is a: PHP file
from http://rosettacode.org

What should iceape do with this file?

[ ] Open with [BROWSE...]
[ ] Save File

[ ] Do this automatically for files like this from now on

[CANCEL] [OK]

If I choose to save the file, an empty file index.php is created and
the submission does not complete.

If I choose to open the file with iceape and do this automatically, iceape
goes into an infinite loop causing squillions of blank windows to appear.

How do I get the submission to work when this occurs?

Mark.

The webserver sends a wrong Content-Type Header, iceape doesn't know
what to do with it, and it's somehow impossible for the Mozilla crowd to
implement a "just display it" button.

That one's only 8 years old:

Use ELinks. ;)
The Mozilla-recommended solution is mailing webmaster@ and having them fix
their server.

cheers,
Jan

P.S.: If you really insist on using that pile of Mozilla, you might try
http://www.spasche.net/openinbrowser/
Don't come crying to me if you do. :p
