I'm running mozilla 1.6 and firefox 1.0 on a Linux liveCD (knoppix
3.4, kernel 2.4.26). With this liveCD, updating firefox version is not
an option.

I compiled the plugin libflashsupport.so, ran ldd on it to ensure that
all dynamic libraries were resolved, and copied the file into
~/.mozilla/plugins, where the libflashplayer.so file (for adobe flash
9) is also located.

I verified that the adobe flash plugin IS being loaded from that
directory, however, the libflashsupport plugin doesn't seem to be
loading, since it doesn't show up in about:plugins.

Is there a firefox setting I can change to get it to load, or a way to
troubleshoot why it's not loading?
