Does anyone use Flock?

If you DO use Flock, and you use it to read your RSS feeds as well, then
answer me this...

I have used it for the last ten days or so, and have been pretty happy
with it, but I have a curious problem now... there is now a reddish
colored 'x' symbol through the icons next to some of my feeds. In MY
mind, this means that these feeds are no longer available, or may not be
available at the given moment.

First, does anyone know what the reddish 'x' means for certain, and if
it DOES mean that the feed is no longer available, how can a feed be
available one day and then NO LONGER available the next? I understand
if a feed isn't available at any given moment, on a temporary basis, but
is that really the way feeds stop permanently... they're just pulled or
disappear overnight?
