Are we finally to discover what

<ANIM KEY=zs7NzcrM1dfG29PM SALT=29PZ
HASH=38jT68fN38hZ68lN01HRT2vnWdVX91NZZ1N3>
<!-- Questions about the preceding line will be gleefully ignored. -->

Actually does? Or are all the easter eggs to be removed from the
released version?

It is widely believed that the ANIM tag is a decoy that does nothing.
In pre-4.0 versions of Netscape for X, any URL containing the string
"/jwz/" would result in the compass animation. In Netscape 4, the
compass only seems to appear for jwz's home page, and "/jwz/" no longer
appears in the executable file, but my guess is the ANIM tag is still a
decoy and he recognizes his home page in some other (simpler) way.

Maybe we'll find out on 3/31.
