The Web Design Group
http://www.htmlhelp.com/

The Web Design Group was founded on the premise that Web documents should
be accessible to everyone. The WDG promotes the idea of cross-platform
compatibility based on HTML standards. Not the creation of
browser-specific documents which are only accessible for a certain group of
people. In essence, HTML as it was intended.

The members of the WDG are all regular contributors to the
comp.infosystems.www.authoring.* newsgroups. In no particular order:
John Pozadzides, Arnoud "Galactus" Engelfriet, Liam Quinn, Ian Butler,
Craig D. Horton, Dave Salovesh and Filip Gieszczykiewicz.

In order to promote the creation of accessible documents, the WDG offers
its own award. Unlike many other awards, this award is not based on
"coolness" or the opinion of the WDG members. Instead, a site which
receives the WDG Award is guaranteed to be accessible to everyone.

Resources available at HTMLHELP.com include:

* A technical reference on the latest HTML standard, including all
tags from the HTML 3.2 draft specification, with notes on
limitations and recommended usage

* An introduction to authoring HTML, as well as overviews of color
names and a list of the HTML character set

* Feature articles on various aspects of HTML authoring

* A bulletin board where you can ask questions to the WDG

* Pointers to sites covering authoring for the WWW in the widest
sense - creating graphics, writing style sheets, validating
your documents, and more

* And the above-mentioned WDG Award, including the full list of
requirements for a site to receive the award, and how to apply.

You do not need Netscape 1.2 or above to view this site. :-)
