This message is being posted to the comp.infosystems.kiosks because data
broadcasting can be a key technology for keeping kiosk content up to date.

A new data broadcasting forum was just launched in September 04 at
www.databroadcasting.com. This forum is a place where discussions
related to "point to multipoint data distribution" can take place.

Some topics that are appropriate for this new forum are listed below:

Satellite communications
- Direct Broadcast Systems (DBS) 1-way, simplex networks
- VSAT (Very Small Aperture Networks) (2-way, satellite systems)
Wired and Wireless environments
IP multicast software and techniques
Reliable multicast file transfer software and protocols
Hardware, including satellite receivers
HDTV and auxiliary data
Data over power line technologies
Other emerging applications, including WiFi
Multicast over LAN/WAN environments
Opinions of various satellite service providers
Internet via satellite (for corporate applications)
Satellite and Wireless publications, websites, resources

Registration is not required for most sections. Drop in and post a
question. New forums will be added as the need demands.

If you are exploring the question of VSAT or DBS for your company, or
how to implement a multicasting or data broadcasting solution, drop by
and post your question.

Vendors, there is even a section where you can drop in, explain your
product and leave contact information.

Go to www.databroadcasting.com

See you there!
