WinPanda is a Gopher-compatible client for Microsoft Windows, either over a
network (WinSock 1.1) or over a modem connection (does not require SLIP). Pre-
beta copies are available via anonymous FTP from panda.uiowa.edu, in
/pub/Panda/WinPanda.* and /pub/Panda/ModPanda.*.
AFAIK, this is the only graphical Gopher client that will work over a modem
without requiring SLIP.
One last thing: you must change the line:
t esprit.isca.uiowa.edu 9999
in the script window to:
t modemin.isca.uiowa.edu 9999
(our Esprit machine no longer exists). Also, you should probably change the
local phone number to an appropriate long-distance phone number.

nice things..

It is also a WWW client (much nicer than gopher) but also speaks to all
gopher servers (not gopher+) and includes typing icons/etc under gopher
or anonymous FTP...
