I just learned this group existed. Cool.

I have World Construction Set and am impressed with it. No, it's not
a real GIS, but it's a great blend of a conventional 3D renderer and a
GIS. Problem is, an X/Motif version isn't available yet, so I'm
limited to PCs, which are slow.

So I ask, is there a GIS (or other program type, besides VistaPro!)
out there that will produce photo-realistic renders of its terrain,
preferably on an SGI platform? My emphasis is on high-altitude looks
(for weather broadcasts), so trees and such aren't needed. BTW, I am
aware of Alias Terra-former and am looking into it.

TIA.

Have a look at my home page at http://www.woolleysoft.co.uk. PC I'm
