Hello,

I am looking for a free (or low-cost) GeoTiff viewer that has the following
functionality:

- Read 32-bit GeoTiff files
- Read raw binary files (given file extents, projection information, etc.).
Similar to using a .HDR file for a .BIL file
- Support Big-Endian and Little-Endian data
- Handle large images (> 100 MB) efficiently
- Perform contrast stretching
- Display individual pixel values
- Run in Windows or as a Java application

If anyone has any software they recommend, please let me know of it.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Have a look at ViewFinder by Erdas - it may not be doing everything you
want, but it is free.

Have you checked out the Java Advanced Imaging API to easily build your
own?

Hi Steve,

you should try geosofts Oasis Montaj Viewer. The free version supports
GeoTIFF, BIL with HDR-header (only display-no export) and many other image
and GIS files. Unfortunately I have no experiences with larger files. Find
it out: http://www.geosoft.com

Not to toot my own horn, but since all of our competitors got mentioned.
RemoteView Reader also does this (http://www.sensor.com/remoteview and
look under the Products link).

Steve,

You might try dlgv32 Pro. It should do pretty much everything that you
describe. You can download a free version at www.dlgv32pro.com. It also
works well with many other data formats.
