Hello all,
Is anyone here using the xtools extension for arcview? I got the
address, downloaded the xtools (xtools.exe), I figured it to be a self
extracting file...no such luck. I can't figure out for the life of me
how to resolve this one. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi,

The xtools extension file should have a suffix of .avx.
It is essentially a text file which contains the definitions of the
objects which make up the extension.

If you download the file and save as xtools.avx and then place it in
the ext32 subdirectory under ArcView it should work. I did this today
with success. The file I obtained was not a .exe, compreesed etc.

xtools should be a *.avx file, try to rename xtools.exe to xtools.avx
place xtools.avx in your ../arcview/ext32/ dir. open av and xtools
should be a option in your extention menu.
