LCD Monitor repair?

My son gave me a 19" IBM LCD flat panel monitor for my birthday. In a
recent storm, it fritzed. Dunno what's wrong: there's no
illumination at all. The "Power" light blinks instead of staying
permanently lit. And I can't find the manual to find out what that
means.

Any suggestions (be serious and kind, please), or can anybody suggest
the best vendor for repair? Ideally, in Atlanta. It's out of
warranty, so IBM themselves will be no help.
