Has anyone experienced trouble using the group off command...both
absolute and relative...this is the 36 command in the extended code
TYPE 3 command protocol.

There is no group off command. Sometime after the 2-way modules were
first produced some clever person noticed the extra do-not-care bit in
the group execute command and decided it would be cool to use that code
space to make a group off command. It was written into the spec (if you
can call that document a spec) but it was not added to the hardware. As
I recall, the LM14a will treat it as a group execute (as you might guess).
Similarly, the group DIM/BRI commands were spec'ed but not implemented. At
least not by X10. Of course, third party products might implement some of
these. They might not implement others functions that the X10 modules do
implement, though...

Dan, thanks for your reply. I have one more question. What might 3rd
parties not implement that X10 does?

Thanks again,
Greg Davis

ADI's C-Max (for the Ocelot/Leopard) includes Group OFF and PRESET commands
for Leviton but I don't have any Leviton switches so I cannot test this.
But, from this, I would assume that at least some Leviton switches implement
these commands.
