I thought others might find this useful. In the last month I've been
collecting info for automation of my new house. Heres an extraction
of all my Home Automation sites from my Netscape bookmarks file.

Could you post instructions for how to save the binary file of your
bookmarks. Also please repost the binary, as by the time you reply my
newreader will have purged your original post. Thanks.

I collected my own bookmarks and put them on the web. You can check
them out at :

Hope this helps you out.

Please don't post binaries to non-binaries. Instead, post them to a binary
group or an ftp site, and post the location, or email them to the requester,
per net guidelines.

The first question that you want to ask is, what type of system to
you want. CEBus, Lonworks, X10, Smarthouse. For a new home i would
suggest CEBus or Lonworks. But, for the least expensive way is the
X-10, you you do go with X-10 just make sure you have a HA contractor
involed at the beginning of the project, so he can work hand to hand
with the electrical contractors to make sure the AC line are clean.
There is many web site that will get you started, The
hometeam(http://www.ionet.net).

You don't need to UUENCODE this- it's ASCII!

Binary???

Bookmark files are HTML ASCII files, no binary anywhere!

Orrin

P.S. No bookmark files anywhere here either????

Several people complained about my original post being UUENCODED.
Well actually it was an accident. It was the first time I had used
the 'Attachment' feature of my newsreader and it decided on its own to
UUENCODE it. When I saw it posted that way I was as surprised as
those who complained. So here is my collection of Home Automation web
sites from my Netscape Bookmark file in regular ASCII. I cut and
pasted it directly into my post this time so it should come out ASCII.
