Do x10's floodlights trigger events in daylight?

I'm specifically talking about the products offered here:
http://www.x10.com/products/offer22.htm

When they sense motion, they turn on their own lights, plus they send x10
signals to do other things (like turn on a chime).

This would be perfect for me if it would still send the x10 signals on motion
even in daylight, but leave its local lights off.

Does anyone know?

No daylight anything. Of course, you can always adjust it to go off at
any time, but that also turns the front lights on. It's a standard problem.
X10 recommends the use of a motion sensor only to take care of this
situation.

You are correct about the unit's operation. If you adjust the photocell
setting to send an X-10 signal when it is light, the flood lights will also
turn on for the specified time during daylight hours. One way around this
is to use a Home Automation Controller (i.e. JDS Stargate, TimeCommander,
etc) that responds to X-10 input. When the lights turn on during the day
and send the X-10 signal, the HA controller hears the X-10 signal and then
sends an X-10 off signal to turn the floodlights off. Of course you would
only want the HA controller to send the X-10 off command when it is light
out. Most HA controllers know whether it is light or dark, or you could use
an X-10 photocell transmitter (e.g., Sundowner) to track light/dark
conditions. I have used this setup for customers and it works fine. The
floodlights stay on for a few seconds during daylight, but then turn off.
At night time, they stay on for the specified time (as set on the
floodlight).
