Thanks in advance,

We were told in beta that there was a 'hardware' fix for the unit.
You can try moving the phone line with CID to the second phone port.
(avoiding the port with the modem/fax port attached to it). That is what I
have done, and it works that way.
There is an e.groups at:
http://www.egroups.com/group/Cybergenie
That some of us beta testers hang out at. You might want to sign up there.
As for the updated software. There is some newer software, (and the
e.groups people can point you to the download site), but, they had changed
the firmware in the handsets also. You can download the new software to the
CG base, but the handsets can not be upgraded "over the air".
I don't know of anyone who has tried the new software with old handsets, but
you might ask on the e.groups.

"LAS VEGAS - Last year, Cygnion Corp. pulled out all the stops for Comdex,
the biggest tech gala of the year.
For its booth at the Las Vegas trade show, Cygnion recreated Ali Baba's
cave, complete with a waterfall, hidden meeting rooms, ruby red Persian
rugs, and, of course, harem girls. The Irvine company even hired actress
Barbara Eden, of "I Dream of Jeannie" fame, to tout its new product, the
CyberGenie wireless phone.
This year, Cygnion is dead.
It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August, after losing more
than $20 million. Gone, too, is the "new economy'' euphoria that emboldened
start-ups like Cygnion to spend as lavishly as Fortune 500 companies at the
leading image-making computer expo of the year."
They were a subsidiary of Ericsson.

Then you entered the wrong Pin more than 3 times.
The serial number is the back door. The serial number can be found in
three places.
1. On the CyberGenie Handset box.
2. On the CyberGenie Handset.
On the battery compartment, lift the battery out of the way so
that you can read the lable in the handset. The number you want is
labled S/N:xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Mine shows thirteen digits. You must enter the number EXACTLY as
show, IE ALL leading zeros.
3. If you hadn't entered the wrong pin, the ShowIPEI actually shows
the serial number. Go figure...
Hope this helps.
