I am building a house and choosing electrical outlets and switches. I
would like to have several wall-switched light circuits controled by X10.
I found that X10 light wall switches are cheap enough (<$20), but they
only handle incandescent lamp loads. I want to have compact fluorescent
bulbs on some of these circuits, but the x10 wall switches I have found
are $50 or more! Dimmable is not important to me. Is there a cheaper way
to my goal?

Stuart,

We can supply you this switch that controls fluorescent fixtures and fan
motors for $39.99. It is rated at 20 amps and requires a neutral wire.

Gregory,

We presently do not have this product listed on our website. The product is
a Decora style and is available in white or ivory (wallplates are purchased
separately).

I got homepro from www.smarthome.com, $39 for a wall switch. It turns
on with a very audible "click".
