Agent act on "after new mail has arrived"

Dear Lotus Notes Forum members,

I created an agent which should act on the event "after new mail has
arrived" to move the newly received message conditionally to a specific
folder (pre-ordering). Somehow when the mail arrives at the Inbox, the
agent does not act at that specific moment, but sometimes approx. 5
minutes later. Our Domino server is not bussy at all.

What's wrong?
Is "after new mail has arrived" not the right event for such things?
How to improve?

Nothing is wrong - when you need the agent to be triggered immediately
just choose "before new mail arrives".

Hello Christian,

Thanx for your reply, but unfortenately, the event "Before new mail
arrives" does not contain a "Document Selection" entry :-(
Otherwise I have to script it all in Lotus basic or whatever the
language is called, but that's not my specialism. And why Lotus skipped
the Document Selection entry on that event must be for some reason....
