our ERP system have is a lotus notes 4.65 application.
the hardware configuration is 2 CPU,256 RAM,30G HardDisk.
there are 50,000 documents in this notes database .
the notes database size is about 50M .
when i open a view to query some reports,
it take 10 minutes to return the query results and display the report.

how to improve notes performances?

any suggestions is appreciated.

thank you very much.

best regards

There are lots of places this could be bottlenecking. Some more
obvious hardware spots are:

Network
Harddrive
Virtual Memory
Actual Memory

Viewing all 50,000? docs?

Maybe a Simple Action in the view like If DATEFIELD is BEFORE 01/01/01

stuff like that.

Then get into nutty internals.
