Does anyone know if the new version of Domino allows all mail users to
recall sent messages ? Our company recently aquired a smaller
subsidiary using Outlook and all these users can recall sent messages.

I tried the software below which seems to work fine, but just wanted to
verify that the recall feature is not built into future Domino 6.5.5 or
Domino 7.0

E-MAIL MESSAGING TOOL
Message Recall for Lotus Notes® / Domino™

Quickly cancel any sent e-mail message!

Total Recall allows Lotus Notes mail users to delete copies of a sent
message.

If a mail user sends an email to the wrong person or simply decides to
cancel it they now have the ability to click a single button to recall
the message.

Total Recall supports recalling messages between internal Lotus Notes
mail users. The mail user simply selects an e-mail in their "Sent" view,
then clicks the "Recall" button.

* RECALL MESSAGES BETWEEN LOTUS NOTES MAIL USERS
* MESSAGES DELETED DIRECTLY FROM RECIPIENTS INBOX
* RECALL MESSAGE STATUS NOTIFICATIONS

Nope. There's an agent in the Notes FAQ that can be used by admins
to recall a msg by a user, but that's it.

It's really a flaky feature for users. I'd suggest you explain why
even in Outlook and Groupwise, it's not a reliable thing to have
and they should be certain they want to send a mail before sending
it. Unless, of course, your users use a welding torch to open up
US Postal Service mailboxes when they decide they really didn't want
to send that nasty letter to someone ;-)
