Hi to all,

I have Lotus Notes Server 4.11a and I can't access two mail databases of our
staff.

Whenever I try to open the mail I get the following msgs:

"Error updating view in Mail\username.nsf: this view is obsolete and
requires missing field list. Please edit and re-save the view"

Or:

"Invalid or Nonexistent Document"

When I right-click and go to the database properties I can't see or change
the database properties, it's all greyed out.

I searched in the Lotus Web Support and I found one document and I tried the
following:

- Selecting the view and press SHIFT+F9 or CTRL+SHIFT+F9 - When I do this
and when I try to open the database I get the msg: "Named object corrupt"

- Do the "Load Updall filename -R -T viewname" - I don't know the
viewname

- Do the Fixup - Same as SHIFT+F9

- Creating a Replica - Nothing changes

- Copy the database to another location using Notes - It starts checking
all documents and fails in the last one.

Can anyone had this problem and could correct it?

Thanks in advance

Cesar,

Try replacing the db design with a current mail template.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new db based on a mail template, then copy
and paste from the All Documents view.

One of those should get it for you.

First of all, thanks for your tips.

But they didn't help me much...

First, to replace the db design I must have control in the properties menu,
but as I mentioned I don't have any access to the properties menu options,

it's all greyed out.

And, to create a new db to copy & paste from the old one I must open the
corrupted db, which I can't open.

Have some new ideas?

To replace the design, select the DB in the workspace, click
File>>Database>>Replace Design... and select a new template - either locally or
from a server.

To open the existing database, have you tried right clicking and selecting
GoTo...??
