I'm doing some research into Lotus Notes as support for distance learning.

Any constructive advice and opinions welcome.

At Athabasca University we are using Notes to deliver an undergraduate
B.Comm and an Executive MBA.

We have been using Notes since we first evaluated version 1.0, and we
found that even version 1.0 gave us the ability to create a distance
learning environment.

One of the nice aspects of using Notes has been that as new versions
come out the distance learning environment that we've created in Notes
are enhanced by the new features and functionality. An example of
this has been the advent of Domino. This has allowed us to leverage
web technology in Notes, and use our Notes applications on the web.
