Hi all

Anyone found this problem? (Sorry if it has been dealt with before - I am new
here.)

I have no idea where the properties box has gone to. I have clicked
*everything* (including the obvious) and all that happens is the top
(originally dark blue) window title greys out, so the property box must be
getting focus, I just don't know where...

Wondering if I need to re-install notes 8-(

As anyone here must know, life without the property box is pretty pointless...

So a fast response would be very much appreciated!!

Thanks in advance.

Andrew V

I had this after I changed the resolution on my monitor from 1024 to 800 -
it's worth checking to see if the box IS loaded somewhere, but out of the
current viewable area......after you'e pressed the Alt+Enter (to activate
the box), immediately press Alt+Space, then M (this will activate the
control for the Properties box and select the Move option) - press any
cursor direction button, and it should spring into the viewable area if
this is causing it.

Just an idea.....

This happens for reasons that I donlt understand (although changing
screen resolution is one of them). Go into your Notes.ini and look
for a line that looks like this:
Win32InfoboxPos=xxx yyy
change "xxx" and "yyy" to 100, and your properties box will reappear
("xxx" and "yyy" are pixel offsets from the upper left corner).

Thank you Danny - a very useful tip.

Also, for the benefit of others, I managed to sort it out by a fluke (the
screen resolution did not solve the problem) - I simply selected

File, Exit

, relaunched Notes and the box re-appeared.

Weird, especially as if you close Notes by clicking the top right corner cross
(ie not File Exit procedure) the problem is still there when relaunching
Notes.

Perhaps something *else* is re-initialised when performing the former
operation...

Anyway thanks again.

As I am relatively new to Notes I would appreciate any comments, thoughts,
opinions on whether or not it is worth going for the CLP status.

Is the exam recognised? Good for career (Lotus Notes career) prospects?

Anyone know if the certificate means more in the US than the UK (or vice
versa)?

I am based in the UK so if any UK-based readers have any opinions on which
UK training group to go for (eg CTEC - tho the way they have been
**pestering** our office for business I may kick 'em into touch) I would
appreciate any ideas.

Anyone who is certified, has it changed your career in any significant way?

Sorry for all these questions - please reply whatever you can.

Thank you **very much** in advance.

If all else fails re-install Notes.
