Hello,
I have a Notes 32-bit client (v4.1) running on NT3.51. Occassionally, the
following
message appears when trying to I click on the Notes mail database:
"File truncated - file may have been changed"

Can anyone tell me what is causing this problem? The problem goes away when

I restart my Notes client. However it reappears after certain period of
usage.
Your advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
CL Yeo

Can't say what causes the problem, but I do know
that if you remove the database icon from the workspace
(select the icon, press the delete key),
and then add the icon back, the problem goes away.

at least that's been my experience...

There is likely a corrupted document somewhere in the database. Try making
a new replica or in the error msg you get look for a document ID or Note ID
number. There are tools from Lotus that allow you to find that document
and get rid of it. My experience is with documents that have the To:
field with an expanded group that is just too large for notes to handle.

Try the usual FIXUP and UPDALLs. These sometime fix the problem.
Sometimes not.
The database may be permanently hosed. I've seen it happen.
