My computer has Lotus Notes 7 (Release 7.0.2).
I would like to send a remainder (auto-email) mail
every day at 9.30 AM to a set of people(10 persons)
regarding a mandatory daily-activitiy . How to do it ?
Can you pls provide me with a link/document
that talks in detail about it ?
Thx in advans,
Karthik Balaguru
Something like the following should work:
From your mail file choose Create, Agent
Choose the Trigger as 'On Schedule'
Choose Daily
Click Schedule
Specify when it runs and that it runs on the same server your mail is
on
Close the properties box and choose from the top right drop down that
you want a Simple Action(s) agent
Click Add Action
Change Action to Send Mail Message
Add recipients group to To: field
Add any subject and body text
Click Add
Save Agent
There may be reasons why this does not work for you, in which case you
should talk to your Notes administrator.
Thx for the info. It was very helpful.
But, is there be an alternative way in Lotus Notes 7 (Release 7.0.2)
for automatically sending the remainder e-mail to a set of people
at a particular time ?
When people ask about time triggered mails I wonder if they are
familiar with Groupwise which has this facility as standard? There may
be other ways in Lotus Notes but none that are simply part of the
standard client and mail template.
btw have you posted your query to:

I'm afraid this newsgroup seems rather quiet these days.
Thx for that info.
I logged in the query in the suggested forum and was
able to get an alternate answer :) :)
I got the below answer :-
" You could create a 'reminder' event in your calendar.
Make it a repeating event (click the 'Repeats' check box)
to setup when the reminder happens. Then click the
'Notify Me' check box and select 'Send email notification'
and fill in the recipient names (or a group)."
It is available in the below link -
