I have a database which is huge (over 930,000 documents) and the views are
corrupted. The updall task is taking "forever" to run. If I type "load
updall" at the server console, what command can I type to stop cancel the
updall task on this database but keep the indexer running?

Please advise. Thanks.

Have you tried
tell <nameofprocess> quit
at the server console or you can just shutdown ("exit" or "quit") the
server and restart. The "exit" command shutsdown all processes. I believe
you can also do a
tell all quit {the opposite of a updall}

You can't I'm afraid.

You either let it run or you stop it totally.

I suggest you take the database out of
service for a few hours, and run updall
out of the Notes Server until the dbase
it fixed, and then re-instate it.
