Is it possible to put a biped on a bicycle and have the biped steer the bike?

Watching the cycling and bmx over the last few days has inspired the
animator in me. I want to use a crowd of bipeds in a bike race. Is there a
way to sit a biped on the bike so that it can steer, lean into the corners,
stay on the (banked) track, etc?
