Opinions?
I did read that Mustek model scanner had very good reviews
somewhere...remember because I have an old cheap three pass Mustek that
I am still using...it is now connected to the fourth computer and still
working. I know two people that bought better scanners than mine that
quit on them! Updating the drivers was easy from their website too.

Just wondering why aren't their products carried here in Canada
(Ottawa) ? They are quite hard to find. It usually takes a special
order or something.

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by "pre-defined settings". From the first
day I brought the scanner home, I have been using _vuescan_ software
www.hamrick.com . This software has a multitude of crop settings (if that's
what you mean).

i meant by dpi settings, color settings and stuff like that.
You can always use a different Twain interface than the one that comes
with your scanner right ?

I didn't find that scanner at the mustek website. I did find the 1200 CP
(paralell) and the Plug-n-Scan 1200 UB (USB) thought there. I found the
first for $55.00 and the second for $71.00 www.pricewatch.com
I found the Paragon A3 SP Flatbed there for $131.00
I would recommend the Epson Perfection 610. Read what CNet has to say
about it. http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/0-1074-404-

It is at http://www.mychaseshop.com/product.asp?PID=474100 for $115.00
