Has anybody tried other (preferably heavyweight) canvas stock in the 1280?
What kind of results can I expect. How about alternative papers like hemp,
kenaf, or high recycled content? I am looking toward uncoated stock if
possible, but not if this will have a major impact on image quality and
durability.
Any suggestions for favourite paper suppliers? How about ink formulations?
I know that the only way to find the workflow that's best for me is to test,
test, and test some more. But if anybody has some advice that might save me
some time (and ink) I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,

I bought some of the epson "canvas" stuff for my 1250.. It is crappy.. It is
more plastic than canvas...
I went to my local Michaels and bought some canvas in pad form (real artist
canvas)... It works great... The colors are off a bit but it is fun to
experiment with! (Let dry overnight and spray fix so it won't rub off!)

I bought a bunch of watercolor paper and others at the same Michaels for
experimenting... Again, not the same colors as the glossy photopaper!

I have not been happy with any ink besides the epson.. although my 1250 is
not a photo printer... the results are ok for family photo stuff... Don't
forget to laminate them with some sort of UV resistor!
They are going to fade! My experience is NO MATTER WHAT, inkjet ink will
fade... (My web browsing has told me that it is the magenta that is
unstable... and remains so!)
Have fun experimenting!

I recommend PermaJet. ( www.permajet.com ) Their canvas is very very nice
and is designed to be used in epson inkjets.
