I posted another painting done with PSP 5 in my gallery called Mountain
Lake. If someone wants it for some reason be my guest. Just click on the
thumbnail for the full size version 800x640.

Beautiful, Joe! I am trying to look at the back of my monitor screen to see
if I see can Kodak printed on the back. : )

Very nice, Joe. My attempts at 'painting with psp' look like stuff I
did in kindergarten. Oh well. :(

Um ....... WOW !
Nicely done, Joe. Is there lots of experience with traditional painting
media behind that ability? - Just wondering if there's much hope for
those of us without such a background.

Yes I started doing art work on motorcycles and cars then moved into canvas.
Been painting all my life but just started doing it with PSP or a computer.

Hi Joe,

It looks great! I have started a few myself, but I think I am still working on the 50 that go in
the trash :o)

To M & M: Go to my site to see a similar painting done by someone who can't draw a stick figure.
It can be done with lots of patience.

http://www.spudnet.com/Graphics/Gallery/Homework/godcreate.html

Then go here to Al Dawson's site for the tutorial. Its a great one that includes step by step
instructions.

Nice Joe,
And thanks for the offer - I will take you up on it. Each month I pick one
student from each of my classes and put their picture on the webpage. I like
to crop the classroom out and past them into a pretty background. When I use
yours I'll let you know so you can go admire it!

We're all addicts, we're all addicts, we're all addicts... ;)

BTW, I posted something I did using BP in alt.binaries.comp-graphics
if you want to take a look. Just toying around with a demo of Print
Artist, captured the screen, put it into PSP and played around with
it. Someone here mentioned the new PA4.0 does curved text and it
does... but nothing I couldn't do just as easily in PSP, actually... I
like the Buttonhole's new Circle Text tutorial as it shows how to use
the deformation tool to rotate each letter - I get more control that
way. Maybe I'll do another using that tool instead.

Depending on what I'm doing with curved text I'm using any one of several 3D
or vector drawing programs. I took a look at it and figured about the same
for the curved text. g

The methods I use I learned Al Dawson's tutorials at
http://iw1.indyweb.net/~adawson/howdo.html I've just continued using his
methods with a few cheats like brushes for tree branches and it one case
some grass tubes. I also use a pen instead of the mouse as I couldn't do
anything with it.

I will however think about some tutorial to add to Dawson's methods but will
not make any promises at this time. I do appreciated the interest in the
painting. g

I still would love to find something that doesn't cost a lot that will
do curves along a path. I have a filter with PhotoDeluxe but it only
does vertical curves so I still have to rotate when done. Oh well,
better than nothing. <G>
