Hi, all...

My Control Palette has disappeared, making it impossible to do detailed
work. Any suggestions gratefully welcomed.

Ctrl-Shift-T, all at the same time.

I think it was Ctrl-Shift-I in PSP 4.1x.

Has this been added to the FAQ yet??? heh heh

This can be cause when running IE 5 Developer version (beta). I have posted
a fix for this several time now and it requires a registry merge file *.reg
and a batch file to merge and start PSP 5. If you can't find it then email
me and I'll send the instructions to you.

I've had the same problem, at least now I know how to get it back
temporarily!

I'd be glad of the instructions too, Joe, if that's okay. I don't run
IE5 (and seldom IE4), if that matters.

This could be due to the fact the Control Panel is hiding just under that navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.

The bar I mean is the main windows one where if you put your mouse over the windows icon it says "start" and also the same bar has all your icons and logos including the time etc.

I found I could see the top bit of my control panel ghosted under this bar.

To get to it I simply held down the LEFT button of the mouse.
DONT LET GO.
Drag the bar to the left of your screen.

Now the entire bottom bar should be showing down the left hand side <----

<--- IF the bar is here on your left then let go of the mouse button.

You might find that the control panel has sneeked way down to the bottom of the page. That is where I found mine.

If you rescue your Control Panel (move it to the centre of screen) then to put back the tool bar simply hover the mouse over the tool bar. Press and hold down the Left button.

And drag the bar back to the bottom of your screen.

Job Done.
