I was looking for a tutorial to do a portrait using Paintshop pro . Thanks
for the other sites but that was using oil paints , and not what I was
looking for .

OK, we know what you are not looking for but you aren't
making it very clear what you are looking for. Do you
want to touch up a portrait photo? Do you want to apply
an oil paint effect to an existing photo? Do you want to
paint a photorealistic picture from scratch? Do you want
to draw a cartoon? Do you want to paint an "artistic"
portrait? In any event, here is what Google has to say
on the subject:
http://www.google.com/search?as_q=portrait+tutorial&num=10&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=paint+shop+pro&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any
You should find something there.

Les, it's not a site I gave you but a set of search results
from Google. Did you look at all 309 results? You can use
Google just as well as I to look for what you want, and you
know that better than I. For example, you know how good an
artist you are and you know what you know about PSP and what
you don't. If I did your searching for you I would constantly
be getting this wrong having to guess. Moreover, you could
not possibly afford my rates :) Here's where to start a
search of your own:
