I was wondering: Which feature films used Lightwave as their main CGI software
for special effects?

feature films use almost always at least 4-5 differrent software packages to
get teh jobs done...

rightnow i am workin on a film that uses alias, houdini, softimage and
lightwave and custom software as well..a lot of final rendering will be done
in lw though...

SO it iis a tricky question that you ask...

Here's some more for the list,

"Executive Decision" HUD display
"The Arrival" The ball cleaning up sequences
"The 6th Man" Everything
"The Outsider"
"My Favorite Martian" All the spaceship shots. BTW, these
are all interacting with the actors on the set and had to
match the full size prop.
"The Prophecy" Final demon sequence.

Doesn't ILM use a modified version of Lightwave? Besides Softimage 3D I
mean. I'm sure the Lucasarts games' cutscenes have somethin got do with
Lightwave!

Don`t forget "the Avengers" (Warner Bros), and yes LW was
used for quite a few shots on Lost In Space :-)
Cheers -GaRy- MagicCamCo (3D).
