Half-price is a little steeper cut than we can manage, but we do offer a
$500 discount off the $2995 MSRP on the VT for registered LightWave
owners. At $2495, the VT is a huge steal for the value it offers.

Yup!
O-Well, we tried. :-P
Hehehe.. put me down for a copy.. in fact.. I DID order it! ! !
Thats what Tax refund means in latin: est tax refundus et glorianus
translated: buy thee this deal with thine tax refund.. grin
Now I have a question.. grin.. in the lightwave 7 blurb it says something
about if you buy 6.5 after january 2001, you can get upgrade to 7 for
free... scratching head.. is this a loophole I might be able to use so I
can save up for my video toaster[2] sooner? Hehehe, you can't blame a poor
budding 3dartist for trying can you?
Also, this video toaster doodad from what I could make out in the newtek
site, does this system allow the installation of lightwave on it? Or is it
a seperate video editing setup..
Forgive my noobiness but I am so psyched up waiting for my lw3d 6.5 to get
here in 2-6 weeks... woo woo... i will be going from Rhino3d 1.1/Bryce 5 to
this and am going to also be purchasing some books by Dan Aplan I think hi
sname is, he does a series of inside lightwave books which I have read good
reviews about.
Thanks for any info!

Can't blame you for trying, but that offer was good for those who
purchased L 6.5 at full retail between July 1 2001 and when L7 shipped,
and doesn't apply with this special offer bundle.

You can run LightWave on a Toaster-equipped system. There is one plugin
that you would need to copy from the Toaster's LWVT directory into the
L& directory and then add, and then you would be able to use the VT
framebuffer for render output.

Hehehe.. I thought so.. but it's still worth it.. I'm just supremely happy
my tax refund got here the other night before you all ran out of copies of
6.5.
One question you might know answer to... What basically is Aura when used in
conjunction with LW?
