The suspense builds ... could you please expand a bit on "slightly funny"?
What do you expect (i.e., get with decimal data) and what do you actually
get (i.e., with exponential data)?
Dick Crawford, aka rccra...@lanl.gov
file.dat
1 1.1E-1
2 2.2E-1
3 3.3E-1
4 4.4E-1
gnuplot3.5 reads this correctly, but 3.7p0 reads the second column as
1.1 , 2.2 , 3.3 , 4.4.
the result of "set term table ; plot 'file.dat' " is:
#Curve 0, 4 points
#x y type
1 1.1 i
2 2.2 i
3 3.3 i
4 4.4 i
is the 'E' notation being phased out? Seems strange since it reads
correctly without the sign in the exponent.
