Hello, what is wrong?

gnuplot> R=10
gnuplot> L=0.05
gnuplot> f(x) = sqrt(R^2+(2*pi*x*L)^2)
gnuplot> plot f(x)
non-integer passed to boolean operator

The way to get an exponent is **, e.g. R**2.

The caret is a logical operator (XOR, I think).
