I'm having an issue with an XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro in Gimp. In every other software I've tried, there are no issues, but for GIMP, the pen tracking is off.

The actual motion tracking is spot on, it recognizes where and how I move and the brush moves accordingly. The issue is that there are 2 cursors, a mouse pointer, and the brush itself. The mouse pointer is exactly where my pen is, and if I use the pen in menus, etc, there is no issue.

But for painting, the brush cursor is always offset to a different location. So if I draw something, everything is way to the left or right of where my pen actually was.

My pen and tablet have been calibrated successfully and GIMP is the only program that has given me trouble. If it wasn't for this, I would think maybe the issue was with my displays and resolution/scale on my computer.

Has anyone had this issue and does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks,

Dalton

maybe I had the same problem ( with SAI ).
What I called my "a screen inside a screen" problem.
The mouse uses the whole screen but a brush only a much smaller part
of the screen. Let's say a 30% shrink.

Maybe it's a tablet preference issue in Gimp if you have no problems
with other graphic programs.
A recent driver update to blame?

I have replaced my graphic card.

But before replacing (all) your hardware give the tablet a try on
another computer and see if you still have the same problem.

I never used your pen, so I don't know if that could be part of the
problem.
