Hello.

I have used Visio to produce software design diagrams. Visio can accept
'templates' for different parts of a design diagram.

Does anyone know if Gimp has similar idea? Specifically, I am looking for a
UML (Unified Modeling Language) plugin for the GIMP.

Thanks.
Jeff

GIMP is (mostly) a bitmapped graphics editor. It doesn't really
do vectors, and certainly not diagrams (gfig and gdyntext aside).

You probably want something more like dia[1] which is much more
Visio-like in scope (though still pretty early in development).

It doesn't have many objects yet, but _does_ include a rather nice
UML.

Warning: It requires a fairly complete Gnome installation, which
can be a pain in the arse if you're not running Linux.

Matthew.
